William Marcellus Palmore

Greenwood, SC- William Marcellus Palmore, 66, of 419 Siloam Church Road, husband of Shirley Nelson Palmore, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at his home. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of the late William Palmore, and the late Eula Bell Palmore. William who was a funny man with a sharp smile, loved spending time with his family, fishing, cooking, and taking care of his two favorite dogs, Taz and Stubby.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Shirley Palmore of the home; one son, Carl (Sonya) Palmore of Lexington, SC; one brother, Bernard Settles of Pittsburgh; one sister, Cathy Palmore of Greenwood; one grandson, Devin Pugh; two granddaughters, Yamia Johnson of Lexington, and Sanaa Johnson of Saluda, SC;  one great grandson, Bryson McGrath of Saluda, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, PLEAD Center, conducted by Rev. James Louden. Entombment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.
