Raymond Williams Sr. Obituary

Greenwood, SC- Raymond Eric Williams Sr., 51, of 148 Kensington Drive, husband of Mary Taleasa Dunlap Williams, departed this walk of life on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Raymond Williams and the late Dorothy Goode Williams. He was a member of Faith Christian Center Church, a veteran of the United States Marines, and a service man of many trades and skills. He is preceded in death by a grandchild, Landen Dunlap; three brother in laws, William Warren, Barry Warren, and Thomas Hackett.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of “26” years, and childhood sweethearts for over “30” years, Mary Taleasa Williams of the home; three sons, Labrenton (Ceirra) Dunlap of Columbia, SC, Raymond Eric Williams Jr. (Jessica) of Riverside, CA, and Devonte Williams of Greenwood, SC; one daughter, Keitaria Dunlap of Greenwood, SC; one brother, Keith Williams; two sisters, Bridgett Williams, and Monique Williams both of Greenwood, SC; seven grandchildren, one which was reared in the home, Malachi Dunlap, Elijah Dunlap of Greenville, SC, Nazhoni Williams of Atlanta, GA, Caden Dunlap of Columbia, SC, Raegan Williams of Riverside, CA, and Londyn Dunlap of Laurens, SC; a special tribute to Aunt Joann (William) Smith of Easley, SC, and mother-in-law, Mary Lee Dunlap (The Late, Calvin Dunlap); nine uncles, Andrew (Annie Ruth) Deal, Lloyd (Betty) Deal, Johnny Deal, Alvin (Georgia) Deal, Marvlin Deal, Dennis Deal all of Greenwood, SC, James Griffin, John (Mae Francis) Griffin, and Kenny (Pearl) Goode; six aunts, Prima (Herbert) Tolbert of Greenwood, SC, Betty (Wesley) Jacobs of Columbia, SC, Judy Deal of Boston, MA, Mary Green, Sally Archer, and Barbara Conway all of Ninety Six, SC; six brother in laws, John Dunlap, and Greg (Shell) Peterson both of Greenwood, SC, James (Raquel) Dunlap of Atlanta, GA, Kenneth (Tanika) Dunlap of Columbia, SC, Dennis (Sanquinetta) Nicholson of Simpsonville, SC, and Lorenzo Nicholson of North Carolina; four sister in laws, Sally Hackett, Wanda Dunlap, Fontella (Ernest) Rhynes, all of Greenwood,SC, and Linda (Gaines) Adams of Simpsonville, SC;   to mourn his passings.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Faith Christian Center Church, conducted by Apostle Alvin Deal. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. In lieu of flowers you can donate to the charity of your choice in his name.
