Randolph “Boo Boo” Duncan, aged 54, of Greenwood, SC, passed away on September 16, 2023, in the embrace of his hometown. Born on February 20, 1969, Randolph was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother, who lived a life of hard work and love. During his professional journey, Randolph showcased great dedication and skill. He is a retiree of the City of Greenwood, and since the age of 15 he mastered the art of barbering where he was the proud owner of BNB Barbershop for 26 years as a Master Barber. His craftsmanship and expertise became widely renowned, leaving an indelible mark on the community through his artistic touch and sharp attention to detail. Yet, Randolph's accomplishments were not limited to his career alone. He excelled as a family man, cherishing and nurturing the bonds of love and support. With his warm sense of humor and open-hearted nature, he created an atmosphere of joy and harmony wherever he went. His presence brightened family gatherings, and his wisdom and guidance will be forever treasured by his loved ones.
Randolph is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Duncan, and their children, Kelvin Martin, Ricardo Martin, Chrystopher Childs, Melvin Legrone, Randy Duncan, Savannah Childs, Cicely Martin, Jauwanza Childs, and DeOndre Duncan. He also leaves behind his cherished father, Jimmie (Awa) Duncan Sr., and siblings Bobbie (CJ) Jones, Dephine Duncan, Mary Ann (Emmanuel)Tate-Duncan, Jimmy Duncan Jr., and Tammy (Kenyatta) Mark. Preceding Randolph in death are his beloved mother, Mary C. “Penny” Lyons Duncan, and his dear brother, Samuel L. Duncan. Their memory will forever be held dear by Randolph's family and friends, intertwining with the stories and memories shared over the years. Randolph Duncan's departure leaves an undeniable void in the lives he touched. His hard work, devotion, and warm spirit will be celebrated and remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul find eternal peace and comfort, and may his loved ones find solace in the cherished memories they have of him.
Services will be held Sunday, September 24, 2023, at the Little River Multicultural Complex at 1 p.m., with Elder Dr. Derrick Scott, officiating. Entombment will follow at Oakbrook memorial Park. Viewing will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 1-6 p.m. at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. the Family is at the home, please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.
