Mr. John Allen Butler

Mr. John Allen Butler 85, of 663 Grier St, husband of Katie Irvin Butler departed this life on Wednesday December 8, 2021 at home. John was born on April 10, 1936 in Hodges, South Carolina to Mr. Matthew Butler and Laura Butler and was employed as a brick mason at Greenwood Mills. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. 

John was preceded in death by 11 siblings; Willie H. Butler, Eddie Butler, Jessie Williams, Fannie Womack, Arthur Butler, Albert Butler, Jesse Butler, Laura Julia Butler, Janie Arnold, Samuel Butler, and Mack Butler. He also was preceded in death by one son John Butler Arnold. 

John leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of the home; two sons, John Butler Jr and Michael Butler of Oklahoma; two step daughters Tana Y. Bonds and Emma Jean Davis of Philadelphia, Penn; One brother, James Butler of Greenwood; two sisters, Laura (Rev. Otis) Cunningham of Plum Branch and Betty Y. Johnson of Cokesbury, three grandchildren Kirah Price, Jerdaisha Minyard, Jakeem Grant, Greenwood and a host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-law other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. 

Services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Kingdom House Ministries, conducted by Rev. Willie Norman. Burial will be in the Evening Star Cemetery. Public Viewing will be from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Robinson and Son Mortuary,
