Julia Ann Morton Rollinson, 76, of 110 Bintage Road (Raintree Subdivision), Greenwood, SC, departed this life on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the Doctors Hospital in Augusta Georgia.
Julia Ann was born June 2, 1946, in Greenwood, SC to the late Willie and Lossie Morton. She was raised in a community affectionately known as the Bell Place, and she attended Brewer High School. Julia Ann was employed by Self Memorial Hospital where she worked in the nursery with babies, and she was a faithful loving mother to her children, and grandchildren.
Julia Ann was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister. Earnest Morton, Raymond Morton, Curtis Morton, Willie “Boe” Morton, and Dorothy Sprowl.
She leaves to cherish her most precious memories, three children, Horace Rollinson, Jr., Stanley (Stephanie) Rollinson, and Katina (Ray) Sims all of Greenwood, and the father of her children Horace Rollinson; six grandchildren, Shameka, Jasmine, Stankivis, Kiera, Marquavius, and Demoriay; seven great grandchildren; four siblings, Bertha Senior of New York, Joseph (Hattie) Morton of Greenwood, Martha Sanders, of Greenville, and Louise (James) Holmes of Greenwood; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services will be 12:00 Noon on Monday, September 12, 2022, at St. Paul FBH Church, conducted by Rev. Willie Elmore. Burial will follow in the Evening Star Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.
