Johnny Moton

Greenwood, SC- Johnny Moton, 72, of 306 Paradise Court, transitioned from earth to heaven on Wednesday, October 31, 2023, at his home. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of the late, Johnny Moton Sr., and the late Phyllis Soley. He was married to the late Lillie Bell Morton, and he is preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Morton, and a longtime companion Lucy Parks.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Stephen (Renee) Morton, Johnathan (Crystal) Morton, and Carlos (Alicia) Morton, all of Greenwood, SC; one daughter, Fredricka (Larry) Briggs of Hodges, SC; five stepchildren, Herbie (Sharon) Parks, Kendra Parks, Consuela Parks, and Richard (Courtney) Parks all of Greenwood, SC, and Adrian Cunningham of Columbia, SC; two brothers, George Soley and Richard Soley of Westwood, NJ; one sister, Lori Soley of Patterson, NJ; nineteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one aunt, Mary F. Childs of Greenwood, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc, conducted by Rev. James Holmes.
