Jessie Mae "Suddie" Rappley Obituary

Greenwood, SC- Jessie Mae “Suddie" Williams Rappley, 70, of 715 Whitehall Road, widow of Ira Rappley, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 10, 2021, at NHC Healthcare of Greenwood. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Elnora Watson Williams Jennings and the late Jesse Williams. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in her younger days, and currently a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she was an usher. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a stepfather, Ernest Odell Jennings, Sr.; a beloved sister-in-law, Hattie Julia Green; a brother, Calvin Williams and a step-sister, Lisa Warren.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters, Sandra (Vernon) Seaborough of Hinesville, GA, Deidre (William) Sayles, Latisha Rappley, and Jennifer Rappley all of Greenwood, SC; three brothers, James L. (Janie Sue) Williams, Jerry (Gwendolyn) Williams, and Lawrence Alonzo (Janet) Williams all of Greenwood, SC; five sisters, Lucile (Joe) Morgan and Mamie (Floyd) Nicholson both of Greenwood, SC, Betty (David) Henry of Indianapolis, IN, Brenda (James) Hawkins and Gladys (Delaney) Smith both of Greenwood, SC; two step-brothers, Ernest Odell Jennings Jr. and Ronnie Jennings; three step-sisters, Dorothy Barr, Janet Williams, and Carolyn Jennings; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

 

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday December 17, 2021, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Raymond Adams and Dr. Adrian Wideman. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. The family is at the home of William and Deidre Sayles, 1304 McCormick Highway, Greenwood, SC 29646. Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com. Arrangements are being handled by Robinson and Son Mortuary Inc.
