James Martin Jr. Obituary

James “Mutt” Martin Jr., 75, of 723 Keisler Drive, husband of Barbara Klugh Martin, departed this walk of life on Monday, April 1, 2024, at his home. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the son of the late James Martin Sr., and the late Lois Fisher Martin. He was a member of Young’s Chapel Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board, Brotherhood Vice President, and he was Brewer Class Alumni. He is preceded in death by one son, Patrick Klugh.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Barbara Martin of the home; one son, Nigel (Nicole) Martin of Greenwood, SC; one daughter, Lisa Klugh of Greenwood, SC; two brothers, David (Wanda) Martin of Jacksonville, FL, and Robert Darnell (Edna) Martin of Lexington, SC; three sisters, Gwendolyn Yvonne Martin, and Deborah Jean Martin, both of Ninety Six, SC, and Mary (Jacob) Blankson of Akron, OH; five grandchildren; and a host of otherer relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Young’s Chapel Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Lonnie West. Burial will follow at Young’s Chapel Baptist Church. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.
