Frederick Cohens

Ninety Six, SC- Frederick Bruce Cohens, 75, of 100 Marshall Court, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 16, 2022, at his home. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina he was the son of the late Sidney Cohens, and the late Rosa Lee Kindard Cohens. He was member of Springfield Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by one son, Frederick Bruce Cohens Jr; four brothers, Calvin Cohens, James L. Cohens, Bobby L. Cohens, and Frank Cohen; and three sisters, Janie M. Holmes, Catherine Dunlap, and Mary C. Nedwards.

He leaves to cherish his memories, five sons, Alaric Cohens, Patrick (Tara) Boyd, Jeffrey (Michelle) Boyd, Dallas Rappley, and Rarigus Rappley all of Greenwood; two daughters, Jennifer Watson, and Tiarra Sanders both of Greenwood; twenty-six grandchildren; three nephews, Calvin Griffin and Kevin Kelley both of Greenwood, and Bobby Cohens of Cocoa, FL; five nieces, Tonya Griffin, Tammy Griffin, Michelle Dunlap, and Priscilla Griffin all of Greenwood; and Valerie Covington of Cocoa, FL; three great nephews, Jamarea’ Reid, Jamar Reid, and Sidney Cohens all of Greenwood; five great nieces, Jy’onna Griffin, Andrea Johnson, Antonia Cohens, Antonia Goode, and Farrah Griffin all of Greenwood; a devoted friend Valerie Sanders of Greenwood; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Springfield Baptist Church on Laurens Highway, conducted by Rev. Robert Knox. Viewing will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.
