Franklin Dlano "Pete" Harrison, 75, a resident of Greenwood, SC passed away at his home on, Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Born August 4, 1946, in McCormick, SC, he was the son of the late Johnny and Rev. Mamie Harrison.
He graduated from Brewer High School class of 1965. Served in Vietnam from 1965-1969. Once, he was honorably discharged he continued his education at South Carolina State University where he obtained his bachelor's in criminal justice. Frank then entered the criminal justices field working for the South Carolina Department of Corrections, where he retired after 17 years, then he worked for Pirelli Cable for an additional 11 years.
Frank was a proud member of Bethel Bible Baptist church in Greenwood, SC. During his free time, he enjoyed yard work. Watching the news and football games (Clemson & the Cowboys), and spending time with his family. He had an enormous personality and even bigger heart! He was preceded in death by his wife Lena J. Harrison, three brothers: James Harrison, Johnny Harrison, and Claude "Bo" Harrison; one sister, Nellie Harrison; one son, Brian Harrison; and a granddaughter, Trinity B. Harrison.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters: Teresa (Nathan) Richardson of Baltimore, MD, Tonya Johnson, and Allison Harrison both of Greenwood, SC; one son, Brandon (Diacy) Harrison of Greenwood, SC; One sister, Nola Hamilton of Queens, New York; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Services will be 2:30 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, conducted by Rev. Randy Holloway. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.
