Greenwood, SC- Eva Mae “Mer” Dixon, 91, of 237 Brooks Stuart Drive, Apt. A, widow of John Earl Dixon, departed this walk of life on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at NHC Healthcare of Greenwood. Born in Ninety Six, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Richardson, and the late Louella Davis. Mrs. Dixon was raised by her grandmother, the late Lucinda Bunton Davis. She was a member of Enoree Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Dixon Logan, two grandchildren, Rufus Logan Jr., and Latoya Logan, one great-grandchild, John Logan Jr., and a son-in-law, Theo Luther Peterson Sr.
Mrs. Dixon leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Phillis Peterson of Ninety Six, SC; one son-in-law, Rufus Logan Sr. of Greenwood, six grandchildren, Theo Luther (Gwendolyn) Peterson Jr., Lawanda Denise Peterson, Renee Peterson White, John (LeTasha) Logan Sr., Bridget Logan, Quetta “Quette” Logan Dashields; a grand-daughter-in-law, Nikki Logan, twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the Chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc., conducted by Rev. Joseph Caldwell. Burial will follow in the Evening Star Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.
