Waterloo, SC- Eva Mae Holloway Stephens, 79, of 9966 Highway 221 South, wife of Joe Edward Stephens, departed this walk of life on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Holloway and the late Willie V. Holloway. She was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church where she served as the Pastor's Aide, a Sunday School teacher, the vacation Bible School craft teacher, usher, Life Center Committee, and she is also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Eva worked at Monsanto, Laurens County School District #55 as a school bus driver, Stephens Cleaners, and was a well-known seamstress.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband Joe Edward Stephens of the home; one son, Bryant (Paige Scates) Stephens of Waterloo, SC; one daughter, Tomika Stephens of the home; a granddaughter, Ke-Ada Stephens of the home; one sister, Rev. Daisy Floyd of Coronaca, SC; three special grandchildren, Sanqui Cook of Georgia, Javeah Todd and Jendiya Todd both of Waterloo, SC; one godson, Aramus McDowell; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, Laurel Hill Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Geoffery Stephens. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 12 Noon. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to robson@nctv.com.
