Carl Randy Wright

Greenwood, SC- Carl Randy Wright, 60, of 116 Balsam Lane, husband of Vanessa Raven Wright, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the Hospice Care of the Piedmont. Born in McCormick, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Emmanuel “Panchie” Wright, and the late Essie B. Davis Wright. Carl was a member of Millway Baptist Church where he served as an Usher, and he is preceded in death by one brother, Charles Wright; two sisters, Ernestine Wright, and Jacqueline Smith; one great grandchild, Breonna Hill.

He leaves to cherish his wife, Vanessa Raven Wright of Laurens, SC; one son, Carl R. Wright Jr. of Columbia, SC; three daughters, Vanisha Barbour of Simpsonville, Shery Barbour, and Janessa Wright both of Laurens, SC; six brothers, David Collins of Norristown, PA, Emmanuel Lee (Wendy) Wright, Larry (Gail) Wright, Rodger Wright, Greg Wright, and Harry Phelps all of Greenwood, SC; five sisters, Shirley Strong, Phyllis (James) Sanders, Martha Stevenson, Gail Wright (Tommy) Martin, and Jennifer Wright all of Greenwood, SC; eight grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Millway Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Lonnie Jones. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Robinson and Son Mortuary, Inc. Please be mindful and practice social distancing and wear a mask.
