Callie Yeldell Hall, 88, of 249 Hardwood Loop, widow of Moses Hall, died on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Edgefield, she was the daughter of the late Willie Yeldell and the late Mamie T. Yeldell Calhoun. She was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church in the Promise Land Community, where she was a Missionary Member and a former usher and was a member of the Women’s Society #69. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Johnnie Mae Johnson, one grandson, William “Buster” Johnson and one great grandson, Jamel Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter Sandra Hall of the home; one brother George Willie Yeldell Sr. of Greenwood; one sister Clara M. Gaston of Greenwood; one grandchild, Moses “Stan” Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019 at Mt. Zion AME Church (Promise Land Community), conducted by Pastor James Louden III. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
