Bryant Arthur Watts, 79, of 102 Shadowood Lane, husband of Shirley Burton Watts, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Self Regional Healthcare. Born in Greenwood County, he was the son of the late Brawley “Ted” Watts and the late Ruby Williams Watts. Bryant was a 1962 graduate of Brewer High School, served in the US Navy and was the owner of Watts Auto Body Repair Shop. He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney C. Watts and four brothers.
He leaves to cherish memories, his wife of the home; one son, Mark Watts of Newport News, VA; three daughters, Vickie (James) Frazier of Atlanta, GA, Donna (Marvin) Stevens of North Augusta, SC, and Yolanda (Terry) Shands of Simpsonville; two brothers, Brawley (Sarah) Watts and Paul (Linda) Watts, both of Greenwood; one sister, Mary Ruth Mobley of Greenwood; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Earline Watts of Greenwood; a special daughter-in-law, Tammy Watts of Greenwood and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Epworth, conducted by Dr. Danny Webb. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023 at Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc. The family is at the home.
