Willie Ray Aiken

Willie Ray Aiken, 82, of 812-C Taggart Avenue, died on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont. Born in Greenwood County, he was the son of the late Fletcher Lee Aiken and the late Cornelius Tolbert Aiken. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold Aiken, Charlie Hugh Aiken, Alvin Aiken and Willie Henry Aiken and his stepmother Douglas Aiken.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a lifelong companion Pauline Boyd of Greenwood, one daughter Cynthia (Marcellus) Hoover of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Darryl Aiken and Roy Frank Aiken, both of Due West; two sisters, Mary Jean (William) Davis and Effie (Eric) Gladden, both of Honea Path; a host of close nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Mt. Zion AME in Hodges, SC, conducted by Rev. Milton Aiken. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
