Virginia Lukie

Virginia Mae Lukie, 79, of 1091 Parkland Place Road, Apt. F-7, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at her home. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of late Lewis Lukie and the late Verlie Jones Lukie. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She is preceded in death five brothers, Robert, Levad, Nathaniel, L.B. & Odell Lukie, three sisters, Elaine Lukie, Sarah Neal and Mamie Fuller and one great-grandson, Lyndon Lukie.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Michael Lukie of Greenwood; three daughters, Marian Lancaster, Rebecca Lukie (Remetrious) Sutton and Linda Faye Lukie, all of Greenwood; one brother, J.B. (Mattie) Lukie of Newberry; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Friendship Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Anthony Sims. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of a daughter, Marian Lancaster, 201-B Byrd Street.
