Sonya Denean Bethea

Sonya Denean Bethea, 50, of 606 Calhoun Avenue, Apt. #1, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at her home. Born in Abbeville, she was the daughter of Lonnie Williams and Margaret Mayes Williams. She was a longtime member of Greenwood First Baptist Church, where she was on the church choir. She was currently employed by Piedmont Technical College as a Student Counselor and Tutor. She was formerly employed with Self Regional Healthcare (Wellness Works) and the Greenwood Housing Authority.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Ashleigh (Joshua) Griffin of Greenwood; her parents of Abbeville, SC, and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Memorial services are 3 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Greenwood First Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Tony Hopkins.
