Robert L Jennings Sr

Robert Lee Jennings Sr., 67, of 4897 Uppermill Road, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in McCormick, he was the son of the later Athel Leverette Sr. and the late Daisy Lee Jennings Quarles. He is preceded in death by his wife Gloria Williams Jennings and a brother Michael Smith. He was also a member of Zion Chapel AME Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Robert (Suleima) Jennings, Lamar (Conyette) Seymore, and Quincy (Chevonnie B.) Jennings, all of Greenwood; one daughter of the home Teresa (Ronnie) Mims; ten brothers, Marvin Jennings, Ricky Quarles, Douglas Quarles, Bryant Quarles, and Sherman (Kathy) Quarles all of Greenwood, Charlie Jennings of Abbeville, Reginald (Opheila) Leverette and Russell Quarles both of McCormick, Athel (Patricia) Leverette Jr. of Augusta, GA, and Floyd McDuffie of Aiken; seven sisters, Carolyn Elijah of Hodges, Cynthia J. Williams, Vernestine (James) Freeman Sr., and Sally Mae Quarles, all of Greenwood, Patricia J. Anderson, Maria Leverette and Sandra Simmons, all of McCormick; eleven grandchildren, three were reared in the home, Alvin M. Jennings, Aissa S. Benjamin, and Bianca E. Hankinson; three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services are 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Cedar Spring Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Andrew Deal. Mr. Jennings will be placed in the church at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
