Mary Lou Brown, 85, wife of Roosevelt Brown, Sr., died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Lincolnton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Parks and Olie Mae Norman. She retired from Self Regional Medical Center and was a member of Weston Chapel A.M.E. Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bruce Brown, one brother, Willie Parks, two sisters, Elizabeth Johnson and Sina Lee Mohoney and one grandson, Adrian Curry.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Roosevelt Brown Sr., of the home, three sons, Roosevelt (April) Brown, Jr. Greenville, Lewis Brown, of Columbia, and Robert Lee Brown, of Greenville; one daughter Mary Mattison, of Greenwood; one brother Joe (Ruby) Parks, of Greenwood, four sisters Lucille Moss, of McCormick, Minnie (Willie) Stokes, of Lincolnton, GA, Gladys (Johnny) Partlow, Royston, GA, and Frances Benson, of Greenwood; one grandson that was reared in the home, Bradford (Cassandra) D Edwards, of Greenwood, 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services for Mary Brown will be conducted on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 2 PM, at Weston Chapel A.M.E. Church, with Rev. Furman Miller Pastor and officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 PM, burial will follow at Evening Star Memorial Gardens.
