Marvin Alonzo Davis Jr

Marzel Alonzo Davis Jr., 55, departed this life on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born in Greenwood, and was the son of the late Marzel, Sr. and Mildred Bowie Davis. He was a member of Campfield Baptist Church. He loved God, his children and his family. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Hill; and two sisters Mildred Lewis and Sherry Hill.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Alonzo J. Davis (Atlanta, GA), Travis M. Davis (Greenwood) and one daughter, Candyce A. Spearman (Greenwood); one brother, James (Deborah) Graham (Abbeville); three sisters, Annie McClinton (Abbeville), Carolyn Davis (Honea Path) and Debra (Richard) Cade (Due West, SC); five aunts, Dorothy Linton, Mary Jean Edwards, Addie Searles, all of (Philadelphia, PA), Daisy (Nathaniel) Patterson and Edith Moore, both of (Greenwood) and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Campfield Baptist Church. Eulogy will be given by Rev. Jerry Aiken. The body will be placed in the church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
