Lenora H Childs

Lenora H. Childs, 72, of 301 Julian Road, wife of Arthur Childs, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Holloway and the late Willie Vera Murray Holloway. She was a member of Pine Pleasant Baptist Church, where she was on the Usher Board, Kitchen Committee, Beautification & Missionary Committee and was a Deaconess. She was a 1968 graduate of Brewer High School. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Holloway and a sister, Annie Bell Hawkins.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of the home; one daughter, Lisa A. (Brad) Norman of Greenwood; two sisters, Eva Mae (Joe) Stephens of Waterloo and Rev. Daisy Floyd of Greenwood; two grandchildren Brandon Norman & Tiaria Norman; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services are 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Pine Pleasant Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Willie K. Cannady. Her body will be placed in the church at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
