Lena M Phelps

Lena Mae Phelps, 77, of 225 West Creswell Avenue, widow of Pressley Morton, entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Heartland Healthcare Center of Greenville East. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Henry Phelps and the late Nancy Hawes Phelps. She was preceded in death by one daughter, four sisters, two brothers and one great-grandchild.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four sons, Joe L. Phelps, Calvin Phelps, Joel (Carolyn) Pressley Phelps and Ernest (Johnetta) Emmanuel Phelps; three daughters, Mitzi (Isaac) Edwards, Loretta Phelps and Pandora (Anthony) Johnson; one brother, Joe Louis Phelps; two sisters, Lois Freeman and Edna Phelps; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc., conducted by Bishop Emmanuel Spearman. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park. The family is at the home of a son, Calvin Phelps, 222 Jebosha Drive.
