Latoya Scott Obituary

Latoya Shonta Scott, 39, of 217 Karen Way, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Prisma Health Richland. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of Freddie Simpkins and Brenda Scott. She was a member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Edgefield. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Aminea Simpkins and Maggie Scott.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her father, Freddie (Gwen) Simpkins of Greenwood; her mother, Brenda Scott (Eddie) Drennon of the home; one son, Christian Scott and one daughter, Symone Scott, both of the home; one brother, Jamar (Brittney) Scott of Greenwood; one sister, Felicia Simpkins of Greenwood, her grandfather, Pierce Simpkins of Greenwood and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2019 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Edgefield, SC, conducted by Pastor C. Moses Myers. Tasha will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
