Eddie L Coats

Mrs. Eddie Lee “Moonie” Coats, 80, of 323 Ashcroft Drive, widow of Bennie C. Coats, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 20,2017 at NHC-Greenwood. Born in Callison, she was the daughter of the late M.C. Williams and Elizabeth Hampton Williams. She was a member of Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was a 1955 Brewer High School Graduate. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl “Top Cat” Quarles, five brothers, Roosevelt, Willie Frank, Lenward, Elijah and James C. Williams, one sister, JoAnn Coats and one grandson, Antonio “T.B.” Coats.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Bennie C. Coats, Jr. of Greenwood; three daughters, Deborah Gilliam, Donna Coats and Stephanie Coats, all of Greenwood; one sister, Ella Mae Brown of Greenwood; eight grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. William H. Booker. The body will be placed in the church at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
