Brenda Lucille Griffin

Brenda Lucille Griffin, 63, of 213 Siloam Church Road, wife of Ben Griffin, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at her home. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late William Palmore and the late Eula Bell Morton. She was a member of Young’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she was a member of the missionary, president of the kitchen, and the pastor’s aide. She’s preceded in death by one daughter and two brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Ben Griffin Jr. of Greenwood; two daughters, LaKeya (Tracy) Dunlap of Greenwood and LaShay Griffin of Greenville; two brothers, William (Shirley) Palmore of Greenwood and Bernard (Connie) Settles of Pittsburgh, PA; one sister, Cathy Curry of Greenwood; four step-children, Towanda (David) Sims, Dorothy Garner, Angie Boyd (Luke) Brown and Jordan Aiken; twenty-two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Dr. James L. Holmes. Burial will follow in Young’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
