Bessie Mae Neal

Bessie Mae Neal Gilchrist, 66, of 310-K Walker Street, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at a daughter’s home. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Brodus Moss and the late Sarah B. Neal. She was a member of Bailey Bethel A.M.E. Church, where she was a member of the choir and served on the usher board. She is preceded in death by a grandchild, DeQuincy Raynard Neal.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Eric (Gail) Neal of Greenwood; two daughters, Otelia Neal of Greenwood and Kendra Gilchrist of Greenville; one sister, Gladys Moss of Greenwood; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Bailey Bethel A.M.E Church, conducted by Rev. Dr. Adrian Wideman. Presiding will be Rev. Willie Black. Interment will follow in the church cemetery
