Bennie Scott

Bennie Scott, 91, of 503 Foundry Road, husband of Ernestine Bennett Scott, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Patrick Scott and the late Essie Brown Scott. He was a member and Deacon of Glovers Chapel Baptist Church and also was a member of the Male Chorus. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of the home; three sons, Benjamin (Darlene) Scott, Jr. and Tyrone Scott, both of Philadelphia and Marcus Williams of Morrow, GA; four daughters, Reschelle Trivott of Lithonia, GA, Lynette Ecklin of Virginia Beach, VA, Patricia Spelling of Stockbridge, GA, and Andre Bennett of Greenwood; sixteen grandchildren, one reared in the home, Quentaris Bennett of Greenwood and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services are 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Glovers Chapel Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Charles Boyce. The body will be placed in the church at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery
